  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 28 oz can whole San Marzano tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Sauté aromatics: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook until golden brown.
  3. Cook the meat: Increase heat slightly and add ground beef. Brown the meat thoroughly while breaking it apart until no pink remains.
