  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (420g)
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water (110°F/43°C) (300ml)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (30ml)
  • 1 tsp salt (6g)
  • 1 tsp sugar (4g)

Instructions

  1. Activate your yeast by mixing warm water and sugar in a small bowl. Add yeast and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Pour in the activated yeast mixture and olive oil; stir until combined.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough gently, roll it out to your desired thickness, then add toppings.
  6. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
