  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Slice the steak against the grain. Chop broccoli and mince garlic and ginger.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear steak slices for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  5. Toss in broccoli florets; stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), cornstarch, and chicken broth (if using). Pour over veggies in the pan.
  7. Return seared steak to the pan and mix well until everything is coated in the sauce. Drizzle with sesame oil before serving.
