Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillets
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the Salmon: Cook salmon fillets in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked and flaky. Allow to cool before breaking into small pieces.
  2. 2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, green onions, eggs, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. 3. Form Patties: Lightly wet your hands and shape the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick. Place on a plate as you prepare to fry.
  4. 4. Heat the Skillet: Pour enough oil into a skillet to cover the bottom by about 1/4 inch. Heat over medium-high until shimmering.
  5. 5. Fry Until Golden Brown: Carefully add the patties without crowding; fry for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. 6. Serve & Enjoy: Remove from skillet and drain briefly on paper towels. Serve warm with lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.
