  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in pumpkin puree and egg until just combined.
  5. Slowly stir in milk until the dough pulls away from the bowl but is still slightly sticky.
  6. On a floured surface, knead the dough gently two to three times. Pat into a circle about 1-inch thick and cut into wedges.
  7. Place scones on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
