  • 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup Cheese Whiz or 4 oz Provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 soft hoagie rolls or burger buns

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and green pepper; sauté until soft (5-7 minutes).
  2. Stir in minced garlic and ground beef. Brown the meat until no longer pink (8-10 minutes), breaking it up as you cook.
  3. Drain excess fat, then add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in Cheese Whiz or Provolone until melted.
  5. Toast buns lightly on another skillet or under a broiler until golden.
  6. Scoop cheesy filling onto each bun and serve warm.
