  • 1/2 cup unsalted cold butter, cubed
  • 56 tbsp ice-cold water
  • 1 cup filling (beef, chicken, or mixed veggies)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: herbs of choice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gradually add ice-cold water until dough forms; do not overwork.
  3. Divide dough into disks and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Sauté onions in olive oil until soft; add your choice of filling and seasonings.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out each disk into circles.
