  • 1 pound cheese ravioli (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (part-skim)
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until golden brown (optional).
  3. Spread half of the marinara sauce evenly in a baking dish.
  4. Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce.
  5. Spoon dollops of ricotta on top and sprinkle half of the mozzarella.
  6. Repeat with another layer of marinara sauce, remaining ravioli, and top with remaining marinara, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
