  • 9 lasagna noodles (no-boil or regular)
  • 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta, half of the Parmesan, egg, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Spread marinara sauce in the baking dish. Layer noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, more marinara, and mozzarella.
  4. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover for last 10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow resting for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
