  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, and gochugaru.
  3. Dip each chicken piece in beaten eggs, then roll in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan and fry chicken pieces for 7–8 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat until melted into a glaze.
  6. Toss fried chicken in the sauce until fully coated and serve hot.
