  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and garlic until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cooked macaroni, cream of mushroom soup, sautéed beef mixture, bell peppers, peas, seasonings, and half of the cheddar cheese until combined.
  5. Transfer mixture to the greased baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
