  • 1 loaf focaccia bread
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 ripe heirloom tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the focaccia horizontally to create two layers.
  2. Layer slices of mozzarella over one half of the focaccia.
  3. Add tomato slices on top of the cheese.
  4. Scatter fresh basil leaves over the tomatoes and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  5. Place the other half of the focaccia on top and gently press down; slice into portions.
