  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla until smooth.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Drop dough balls onto lined baking sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
  8. While cooling, mix powdered sugar with milk for the glaze.
  9. Drizzle glaze over cookies once slightly cooled.
