  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 9 oven-ready lasagna noodles
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and minced garlic until fragrant. Add diced chicken seasoned with salt and pepper; cook until golden brown.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce with the cooked chicken and let it simmer.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with chopped basil and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  5. In a baking dish, layer the ingredients: start with marinara sauce, then noodles, half the ricotta mixture, and half the chicken mixture. Repeat layers ending with noodles topped with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil (shiny side down) and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbling.
  7. Allow cooling before serving.
