  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and halve cherry tomatoes; mince garlic.
  2. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Reserve ½ cup pasta cooking water before draining.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Toss in halved cherry tomatoes and cook until they soften and burst (3-4 minutes).
  5. Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the tomato mixture. Pour in reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce.
