Perfect for any occasion, this recipe is easy to follow and guaranteed to impress your family and friends with its irresistible flavor and texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 pre-baked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If using a store-bought crust, bake according to package instructions until golden brown. For homemade, roll out dough and fit into a pie dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, flour, and a pinch of salt. Gradually whisk in milk while stirring continuously until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sliced bananas and vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into the cooled pie crust.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap directly against the surface to prevent skin formation. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat cold heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks develop.
  6. Spread whipped cream over the chilled pie and top with additional banana slices if desired. Slice and serve chilled.
