  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 8 corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 avocado, sliced or ½ cup guacamole

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Add taco seasoning and ½ cup of water; stir well and simmer until thickened.
  3. While the beef simmers, chop lettuce and tomatoes. Grate cheese if needed.
  4. Warm tortillas in another skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until soft.
  5. Assemble tacos by spooning seasoned beef onto each tortilla and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and avocado.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
