  • 1 cup dried elderberries
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 cup raw honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup of dried elderberries under cool water.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed elderberries with 4 cups of filtered water. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  3. Add 2 cinnamon sticks and 1 tbsp of fresh grated ginger; reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl, discarding the solids.
  5. Return the liquid to the saucepan over low heat and stir in 1 cup of raw honey until fully dissolved.
  6. Allow to cool completely before transferring to clean glass jars or bottles. Store in the fridge for up to three weeks.
