  • 1 lb beef flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. Slice beef against the grain into thin strips. Wash and chop broccoli.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch. Add beef and marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Increase heat to high; add marinated beef and cook until browned (3-4 minutes). Add broccoli, chicken broth, and rice vinegar; cover briefly to steam.
  5. Uncover, add remaining marinade, stir until thickened (2-3 minutes). Serve hot over rice or noodles.
