  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • Yellow food coloring (gel)
  • Orange food coloring (gel)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by gathering all ingredients and tools: saucepan, spatula, and parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar, light corn syrup, and butter. Stir until boiling (about 5 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat; mix in vanilla extract and sifted powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Divide the mixture into three bowls: one for white (leave as is), one for orange (add orange food coloring), and one for yellow (add yellow food coloring). Mix until fully colored.
  5. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Pour in the white layer first, smoothing it out evenly. Follow with orange and then yellow layers.
  6. Allow the candy corn to cool at room temperature for 1-2 hours before cutting into triangular pieces.
